Registration settings under the map

Last updated on Oct 19, 2026

Open an address and stay on its Details tab. The map at the top shows the address as the GPS sees it: the drawn areas when there are any, otherwise the pin with a circle round it. When nothing is drawn, the line under the map says so: No drawing. The circle shows the detection radius of the geozone. Download on the map's top-left corner saves the map and its drawing as a picture; it is greyed out until something is drawn.

Under the map, Registration holds four settings. They decide when a driver's phone counts as being at the address and when the customer hears that the job is done.

The four settings

  • Detection radius (m): the size of the circle round the pin, used only while the address has no drawing. The default is 60 metres; anything from 10 to 500 is allowed. Once something is drawn, the drawing is the zone and the field disappears.
  • Minimum time on site (min): how long a driver must stay inside the zone before the stop counts as visited. A shorter pass, such as driving by, registers nothing. The default is 1 minute; 0 counts any pass, and up to 60 is allowed.
  • Wait before "Job completed" (min): how long the crew must have been away from the address before the customer's Job completed message goes out. A crew that comes back for another pass restarts the wait, so the customer hears once, after the last pass. The default is 5 minutes; 0 sends it as soon as the stop is done, and up to 120 is allowed. See What the customer is told about a job.
  • Map pin: where the circle is drawn from. Move pin lets you click the map where the address really is, then Save pin; the pin is then locked there, and a later change to the address text keeps it. A pin moved this way shows Pin placed by hand, and Reset to address puts it back on the geocoded address.

An empty field uses the default, and says Default beside it. Change the values and press Save; the circle on the map is redrawn at once. Every change is written to the address's history.

The wait before Job completed can also be set in the address form, beside the area.

Who can change them

Only the business that owns the address. A subcontractor assigned to it sees the values in force and cannot change them.

How the GPS uses them

The radius and the minimum time feed the rules in How GPS check-in and check-out work: the zone is the drawn areas, or the circle when nothing is drawn, and a stay shorter than the minimum time is not a visit.
