Split an address's invoice between several customers

Last updated on Oct 20, 2026

Some properties are owned jointly by several companies: an owners' association split into sections, or a site shared by several tenants with a CVR number each. One driver clears the address on one visit, but every owner pays its own part, on its own invoice. The invoice split does that. The address keeps its own customer, you add the other customers, and each visit is billed to all of them in equal shares.

Before you start

Each paying company has to be a customer of its own, with its own CVR number. Create the ones you do not have yet under Locations → Customers. They may share an EAN number: when every invoice is to be delivered to the same EAN, give each customer that same EAN.

The address itself needs a customer. That customer is always one of the payers.

Add the customers

  1. Open the address and go to the Prices tab.
  2. Press Edit. At the bottom of the tab is Split the invoice between several customers, with the address's own customer at the top, marked Address's customer.
  3. Pick a customer in Add customer. It is saved at once (Invoice split saved). Add the others the same way.
  4. To take a customer off the split, press the × on its row.

Each row shows what that customer pays: its share of every work type with a price on the address, for example Salting 300.00 DKK, with / per hour after an hourly price and (Season) after a season price. The heading sums it up, for example Split between 5 customers, 1/5 each.

Outside edit mode the section only appears on an address that is split, and only lists the customers and their shares.

Only the business that invoices the address can change the split, and it needs a paid plan. The customers you add must be in your own customer register, and the address's own customer cannot be added a second time (The address's own customer already pays its share.).

Every customer added or taken off is written to the address's History, for example Anna added Nordvej Ejendomme ApS to the invoice split.

How a visit is invoiced

When a visit at the address is invoiced, it becomes one line on each customer's invoice instead of one line on one invoice:

  • Equal shares. Each customer is billed the price divided by the number of customers. With a price of 1,000 and five customers, every line is 200. When it does not divide evenly to the øre, the address's own customer takes the difference, so the lines always add up to the price: 1,000 between three customers is 333.34 for the address's customer and 333.33 for each of the others.
  • Each customer's own invoice. Every line goes on that customer's own draft for the month, following that customer's own invoice grouping (by customer or by address). See When an invoice line is created.
  • Marked. Each line carries the note Shared equally between 5 payers., so whoever reads the invoice can see why the amount is a share.
  • The main work only. The split applies to the stop's own work type. Extra work types added to the visit, and extra fees, stay whole on the address's own customer's invoice.
  • The crew is paid once. A subcontractor that did the work is settled exactly as before. The split only changes who pays you, not what you pay.

Seasonal instalments

An address on a season price is split the same way. When you create the season's instalments under Manual invoices → Season, each customer gets its own instalment invoice for its share of the instalment, again with the address's own customer taking any øre left over. See Seasonal and fee invoices.

The Seasonal invoicing list still shows the address's full season price, and the count of created invoices includes one per customer. Each customer keeps its own count of instalments: a customer added halfway through the season starts at its first instalment.

Changing the split later

A change applies to work invoiced from then on. Lines already on an invoice are not moved or re-priced. A visit invoiced before the address was split does not get lines for the new customers afterwards; correct it on the invoice if it should. If one customer's draft is deleted, invoicing the visit again bills that customer's share only, never the others twice.
