Free and Pro

Last updated on Sep 15, 2026

Every company in SnowManager is on a plan, and the badge on your account card at the bottom of the sidebar says which. There are two that matter: Free and Pro. (A few companies are on Standard, an older paid plan that works like Pro.)

Free: the subcontractor plan

Free is for a company that clears addresses for somebody else. A contractor invites you, hands you addresses, and you do the work: you accept the invitations, dispatch the addresses, build routes from them, plan shifts, run the driver app, follow the live map, handle complaints and insurance reports, draw on the addresses, and settle with the contractor through the statement they raise. You can invite subcontractors of your own and pass assigned addresses on to them.

What Free cannot do is own work. On Free you cannot:

  • create or import addresses, or edit, activate, deactivate or delete the ones you have;
  • keep customers or give them portal access;
  • make offers;
  • invoice customers, or connect an accounting system;
  • draw zones or dispatch by zone;
  • build road routes by painting roads on the map, or draw your own road network;
  • run reports, exports or the weather tracker;
  • define work types and prices.

The pages behind these are not in your menu, and the buttons that lead to them open the upgrade window instead.

Pro: your own operation

Pro adds all of the above. A company that signs up on its own starts on Pro; a subcontractor registered from an invitation starts on Free.

Which plan your company started on

When plans were introduced in September 2026, every company that already owned at least one address of its own was moved to Pro, so nobody lost the ability to work their own addresses. Companies with no addresses of their own stayed on Free. If your company is on Free and you think it should be on Pro, use Contact me as described below.

Moving between the two

Only SnowManager can change your plan. On Free, the Upgrade to Pro button above your account card opens a window that lists what Pro adds; Contact me sends us your company, your name, email and phone, and how many users and addresses you have, and we get in touch. Nothing changes until we have spoken.

If a company is moved from Pro to Free, nothing is deleted or hidden: the addresses, customers and invoices it already has stay readable. What stops is adding new ones and editing the old ones.
